dssstrip

Usage

<b>dssstrip</b> [<em>-options</em>]

Description

Command dssstrip removes (purges) either old or unnecessary Data Source Solutions DSS installation files after upgrading DSS, or the installation files (on a remote server) that are not required for DSS Agent.

Options

This section lists and describes all options available for dssstrip.

Parameter Description
-mfilename

Generates a manifest file filename to purge the DSS_HOME directory during the upgrade process. The purge manifest file is stored in the DSS_HOME/etc/ directory and includes a safelist of files that will not be deleted during the upgrade process.

This is an internal option and should not be used by a regular user.

-p Displays the list of files to be purged using option -P. This option cannot be used with options -P and -r.
-P Purge DSS installation files that are not required after performing the upgrade. The list of files that will be purged can be viewed using option -p. This option cannot be used with options -p and -r.
-r

Purge all DSS installation files that are not required for the DSS Agent. This option cannot be used with options -p and -P.

This option should not be used on a machine running the DSS Hub Server.
