Adding Tables to a Channel with Activated Replication

This section explains how to add tables to a channel where replication is already activated.

For steps to add tables to a channel as part of the channel creation process, see section Adding Tables to a Channel.

Option Add Tables corresponds to the dssadapt CLI command.

To add new tables to a channel with activated replication:

  1. Open the Channel Details page.
  2. In the Channel Summary pane, click the tables link to open the Tables page.
  3. Click Add Tables at the top right.
  4. In the Add Tables dialog, select the location from where you want to add the tables.
  5. In the Table Selection dialog, use the search box to find the required tables. For advanced search options, see Table Filtering.
  6. Select the checkbox next to each table you want to add.
  7. (Optional) By default, the selected tables are assigned to the GENERAL group. To assign them to a different group, enter a custom name in the Table Group for new tables field.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Return to the Channel Details page: In the left-hand menu, click CHANNELS.
  10. Click Activate Replication at the top right. The Activate Replication dialog will open with the required locations, tables, and replication components automatically selected.
  11. Select Refresh Data into Target After Activation.
  12. Select Create Missing Target Tables and Alter or Recreate Tables with Incorrect Layout.
  13. Click Activate Replication at the bottom of the dialog.
